Our October release includes improvements to our recently launched Playbooks feature and Social Media integration, plus a host of other enhancements to smooth your everyday workflow in Xara Cloud:

Playbooks

Playbooks offer a way for real estate brokers to automate the creation of personalized marketing material for their agents. If you missed the recent launch announcement, check out this article.

  • My Listings view is now organized by listing. Go into a listing to see all the Playbook Runs together for that listing. Only the most recent Playbook Run is shown, if the Playbook has been run more than once for the same listing.

  • Members can now also run Playbooks, not just Admins.

  • Improved fallback fields for Agent email and phone.

Social Media

We also recently added a super quick and easy way to post your Xara created content direct to your Facebook and Instagram accounts from within Xara Cloud. Find out how in this article.

In this update we've improved the help messages for Instagram and Facebook account connection.

Animated GIFS

Animated GIFs now work in all document types in Xara Cloud (previously there were some problems with GIFs in Email templates, and in print documents only the first frame of a GIF was shown in the share-to-web view).

SmartFields

SmartFields offer a quick way to insert commonly used text phrases (such as your company name and address) into your document. We've tweaked both company and personal SmartFields to help you make the most of this great productivity feature:

  • On document open, users are now prompted to enter any unset Company and Personal SmartFields that are used in the document.

  • We also prompt Real Estate users to complete their Personal SmartFields on Sign-in.

Clipboard

HTML Paste

We've improved support for pasting HTML into Xara Cloud, copied from any external source. Headings in the source are preserved, but the content pasted will use the styles of the target document.

Paste Unformatted

This new paste option (in the Edit menu) will paste only the text on the clipboard, ignoring any style information on the clipboard. So the text will be pasted with the current document style.

Flowing Documents

Last but not least, a further improvement for users creating multi-page documents with text flowing across the pages: Xara Cloud now adjusts the extent of the main text flow to allow for different sized page margins, headers and footers.
