Welcome to 2024! And here to help get your year off to a good start are some great improvements to the file and folder management, and many other enhancements including some nice tweaks to the new Document Check and Xpressdocs integration.
Multi selection, Bulk Move & Delete in Home Screen
A big productivity improvement for those of you who have built up many files and folders, you can now select multiple files or folders in Your Files, or your team Documents and Assets folder, and either move them to other folders or delete them.
Either hover over the file/folder and click the checkbox in the top left corner
or marquee select the files /folders
you'll see the new toolbar with Select All, Move and Delete options.
the Select All option selects all files in the folder.
Document Checker/ Xpressdocs
A host of improvements to our AI assisted Document Check tool, which can help you quickly spot errors and make suggestions for improvements to your documents, before you share them with colleagues or send them to Xpressdocs, the popular on-demand digital printing service for North America and Canada now integrated into Xara Cloud (for more information see this announcement). Improvements include:
the ability to un-ignore ignored document check suggestions. You can now toggle between Document Check and Ignored Issues in the Document Check drop down, and revoke the Ignore status of any of the issues in the Ignored Issues list
and we have introduced some Settings for the Document Check, which will improve the accuracy and relevance of the check results; langague of the spell check and type of document (print or view on screen)
We've introduced some intellgent document prediction logic into the Xpressdocs feature, in relation to the document types we offer when the size of your document doesn't match any of the sizes available for printing via Xpressdocs. You should now see just a short list of best guess alternatives.

Many tweaks and minor improvements to the recently released Doc from URL feature (perfect for Real Estate agents that want to quickly and easily copy listing data from their websites into their marketing documents - see this article if you missed the original announcement). For example there's now a much-requested progress bar during import.
We've enabled the AI text tool on text inside SmartFields, where it can be handy for example for translation, or improving/shortening property description text in the Public Remarks field. For more on the AI Text Gen feature see this announcement.
