Each of the channels has to be connected separately. Connecting Facebook and Instagram requires specific types of accounts, the detailed instruction on how to create them can be found below. LinkedIn accounts can be connected straight away.
How to connect these platforms to your Xara account:
From Social Media Manager
Go to Xara (cloud.xara.com)
Click on “Social Media Manager” on the left menu bar
When you click “Connect”, AI chat will appear to help you connect your accounts.
Follow the instructions, a connection pop-up should appear.
From a Document
When trying to post a document on social media, a connection pop-up should appear. If it doesn’t, you need to allow pop-ups in your browser, as described in section 0.

When you see the connection pop-up, log into your account and accept all permissions.
You’re all done!
0. Enabling Pop-ups
To connect your social media accounts, Xara opens a secure login window. If your browser blocks pop-ups, you may not see this window, which will prevent you from completing the connection. Here’s how to enable pop-ups on common browsers and devices:
0.1. Chrome (Desktop)
Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
Go to Site settings.
Scroll to Pop-ups and redirects and select Allow.
Try connecting again.
0.2. Safari (Mac)
Go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences) > Websites.
Select Pop-up Windows in the sidebar.
Find xara.com and choose Allow.
Try again.
0.3. Firefox (Desktop)
Click the menu button (☰) > Settings.
Select Privacy & Security.
Scroll to Permissions > Block pop-up windows.
Click Exceptions… and add xara.com.
Save changes and try again.
0.4. Chrome (Mobile – Android)
Open the Chrome app.
Tap the three-dot menu > Settings.
Tap Site settings > Pop-ups and redirects.
Enable pop-ups or add xara.com to the allowed sites.
0.5. Safari (iPhone/iPad)
Go to Settings > Safari.
Scroll down and toggle Block Pop-ups off.
Return to your browser and try again.
If you're still having trouble after enabling pop-ups, try refreshing the page or using a desktop browser for best results.
If you still can’t solve it, contact support by clicking on the chat button on the bottom right corner of the screen.
1. Connecting your Facebook Page
To connect your Facebook, you need to have a page. Here is how to check if you do:
1.1. On Desktop:
Open facebook.com.
Click on your profile photo in the top right corner.
In the drop-down menu click on “See all profiles”
Press “See all Pages”
Here you will have the list of your pages. If you don’t have one, you will need to create it. for an instruction on how to do that, refer to section 1.3.
1.2. On mobile:
Open the app
Tap the icon with three horizontal lines (≡), usually on bottom right corner for IPhones and top right corner for android.
Press “See more”
Tap “Pages”
Here you will have the list of your pages. If you don’t have one, you will need to create it. To do that, refer to section 1.3.
1.3. Creating a Facebook Page:
Go to facebook.com on your computer.
Click your profile photo on the top right corner.
In the drop-down menu click on “See all profiles”
Press “Create Page” and choose “Public Page”
Add the required information and finish setting up the profile.
Now you should have your Facebook Page.
2. Connecting your Instagram Account
2.1. On Desktop:
Switching to business account:
Go to instagram.com and login.
Click your profile picture on the left side panel.
Click “Edit profile”
Scroll the Settings panel on the left and find “Account type and tools”
Press “Switch to professional account”
Choose “Business” and pick your category.
Complete setup.
Connecting Facebook page:
Log in to Facebook and switch to your Facebook Page (Click your profile photo in the top right, and press on your page in the drop-down menu).
Click your Page's profile photo.
Go to “Settings & privacy” > “Settings”
Scroll left side panel and click on “Linked accounts”
Press Instagram.
Proceed to the login pop-up and log in as your business account.
Enable “Allow access to messages & connected experiences”
Finish setting up.
2.2. On Mobile:
Switching to business account:
Open Instagram app.
Press on your profile picture at the bottom right.
Tap the ≡ in the top right.
Scroll down and press “Account type and tools”
Tap “Account type”
Look for a blue “Switch to professional account” text and press on it.
Pick your category.
Choose “Business”
Finish the setup.
Connecting Facebook page:
Open Facebook app and press the ≡ (three lines) in the top or bottom right.
Switch to your Page.
Go to you profile again by pressing ≡ (three lines).
Scroll down go to “Settings and privacy” > “Settings”
Scroll down and press “Linked accounts”
Choose Instagram and connect it.
Login as your business account.
Enable “Allow access to messages & connected experiences.”
Finish setting up.
